“May your Kingdom come soon. May your will be done on earth, as it is in heaven.” -Matthew 6:10 NLT

” In all circumstances take up the shield of faith, with which you can extinguish all the flaming darts of the evil one; and take the helmet of salvation, and the sword of the Spirit, which is the word of God, praying at all times in the Spirit, with all prayer and supplication. To that end keep alert with all perseverance, making supplication for all the saints, and also for me, that words may be given to me in opening my mouth boldly to proclaim the mystery of the gospel, for which I am an ambassador in chains, that I may declare it boldly, as I ought to speak.” – Ephesians 6:10 – 20 (ESV)

We are living in a time of great danger in this country and around the world. Political and social unrest is intensifying. The United States is deeply divided.  And we are always in danger of terrorist attacks, and natural, or man made disasters. A New World Order could very well be on the horizon.  And dark forces are definitely gathering. But, this is not the time to be paralyzed by fear. God has given us all assignments to do. So we must engage the world with the gospel of the Kingdom, in both word and deed.

It’s time to pray militant and aggressive prayers for God’s Kingdom to come, and His will to be done on earth as it is in Heaven.

If you are like me, you may be getting weary of all the political fighting in our Nation’s capital, and the deep division of the American people. The root problem in this country is spiritual, not political. I believe true repentance will change many of our political views. Moralistic religion that does not focus on intimacy with Jesus, loving our neighbors, and praying for those in authority is idolatry. The Nation of Israel’s biggest problem was not with her enemies – it was with God. It is vitally important, that we the Church (all followers of Jesus) get our spiritual houses in order. Is it possible that our lack of prayer and intimacy with God is the real problem.

During these days I have found that it’s important to spend more time doing a little self-examination of my own heart, before the Lord, especially in the Psalms. God will reveal our spiritual condition as we read and pray the Scripture. The Psalms have served as the believers prayer book for thousands of years.
